JK Rowling – The Benefits of Failure
Rowling said that hitting rock bottom became a solid foundation to rebuild her life. Said it is impossible to live without experiencing failure. Failure gives one strong will and determination. You are then secure to survive.
I believe students need to experience some kind of failure in their lives. Life itself is not perfect and at some point you will eventually fail at something. I find parents protect their children from failure like it is a direct reflection on them. I believe in the old notion that one learns from their mistakes, especially if you see where you went wrong and can correct it.
